Learning to knit - a new beginning

I have always loved everything to do with crafts and handicrafts. From friendship bracelets as a child to macramé
Christmas decorations today. But for some reason, knitting always seemed too difficult to me. The fast-moving needles always intimidated me. Until I finally plucked up the courage in 2022.

I borrowed some needles, bought a ball of wool, and googled "learn to knit." With the help of various YouTube tutorials, I knitted my first piece. A rectangle.

Next, I started on a scarf. I figured it was just a rectangle—only bigger.
About halfway through the scarf, I officially caught the knitting bug. I was thrilled that with a few hand movements, some yarn, and a little patience, I could create a new piece of clothing. It felt almost like magic—the creation of something where there had been nothing before.

From then on, there was no stopping me.
In recent years, I feel like I've spent more time knitting than doing anything else.
Last year, I came up with the idea of creating designs that would make it as easy as possible for other people to get started in the world of knitting. So that they don't have to start out like I did, knitting a rectangle with some wool and various videos to learn the basic techniques one by one. Instead, they can start right away with a real design and a detailed tutorial for all the basic techniques.

This is how the New Beginnings collection. A series of knitwear designs with very detailed instructions, including video tutorials, which require no prior knowledge.

Over the months, the collection grew to include a cardigan, a sweater, a top, a bralette, a hat, two scarves, three hair bands, and two coasters.

So if, like me two years ago, you've always wanted to learn to knit but feel overwhelmed by the learning process, then the New Beginnings knitting kits are just right for you.
The set includes not only detailed instructions, a link to a video tutorial, and wool in your desired color, but also the appropriate knitting needles and OONIQUE knitting accessories. And if you ever have a question while knitting, you can always send an email to newbeginnings@oonique.com and I will be happy to help you.
