Twist Top

details

  • The Twist Top is a figure-hugging knit top with long sleeves and twisted cutouts, which are knitted using the Verona Twist technique.

It can be worn perfectly over another top or on its own.

The design is knitted from top to bottom. First, stitches are cast on for the neck and shoulders. Then, increases are used to shape the shoulders first and then the sleeves. At the same time, the neckline is formed by increases. The first "twist" follows at the end of the neckline. Then the sleeve stitches are put on hold and further twists are worked at regular intervals while knitting the body. Body shaping is achieved by decreases and increases at the waist and hips. Decreases are also worked on the sleeves so that they taper towards the wrist. The body and sleeves are finished with a ribbed cuff and bound off using the Italian bind-off method.

(The instructions include detailed video tutorials for the Verona Twists.)
