Ruby Scarf

  • The Ruby Scarf is a wonderfully soft scarf made of cashmere and silk.

    First, cast on stitches using Judy's Magic Cast On and join to form a round. The curved tip is formed by increases. The scarf is then knitted in stockinette stitch in rounds. This can be done using the magic loop method, a very short circular needle, or double-pointed needles. The second tip is then worked with decreases. The scarf is finished with the Kitchener stitch to achieve an invisible finishing edge.

  • The Ruby Scarf is knitted from Cardiff Cashmere's Brushlight yarn.

    Composition: 82% cashmere, 18% silk

    The scarf in the photos was knitted in the color "111 - ROUGE."

  • 3.5 mm circular knitting needle (80 cm)

    or 3.5 mm double-pointed needles

  • 10x10 cm = approx. 26 sts x 37 rows in stockinette stitch using 3.5 mm needles (measured after washing and drying).

    (For this project, it is not essential to do a gauge swatch.)
